VAMSEY PALAGUMMI

Vamsey earned his B.A. in Political Science from Notre Dame de Namur and earned his JD from Santa Clara University School of Law. During law school, Vamsey provided free legal services to indigent parents facing dependency proceedings and worked at the Northern California Innocence Project for the wrongfully convicted. Vamsey has trained Bay Area lawyers in sealing juvenile criminal records, taught “knowledge of the law” to incarcerated young people, and supported over 100 participants to successfully complete probation.
Vamsey has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Silicon Valley, key member of the 95122 DMC Workgroup ( to end disproportionate minority contact with San Jose police), a representative on the San Jose Mayor’s Gang Prevention Task Force, and as a Soulciety board member.
Vamsey was an adjunct law professor at Santa Clara University, teaching at the intersection of adolescent brain development with juvenile law. Vamsey currently serves on the board of R-Evolution and is currently the Chair of the Alameda County Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Commission. He has been named to the 2020 40 under 40 list by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
